The seminar commenced at 11:00 AM on 6th April 2026 at the D-Block Auditorium, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida. The event was jointly organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, AWS Cloud Club GCET, and the Outreach Department, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary collaboration aimed at enriching students with cutting-edge knowledge at the intersection of hardware, cloud, and cybersecurity.

The session was conducted by Mr. Ayush Kumar, Corporate Trainer at CSRBOX, IBM. Mr. Kumar brings with him a wealth of experience in corporate technology training, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity, having trained professionals and students across India on IBM and AWS technology platforms. His practical, industry-grounded approach made the seminar highly engaging and informative for the student audience.

Mr. Kumar began the seminar with a comprehensive introduction to the Internet of Things ecosystem, explaining how billions of interconnected devices ranging from smart home appliances and wearables to industrial sensors and autonomous vehicles are generating massive volumes of data in real time. He outlined how edge computing has emerged as an architectural response to the limitations of traditional cloud-only models, enabling data processing to occur closer to the source and dramatically reducing latency, bandwidth consumption, and dependency on centralized data centers.
