OSLD's weekly Leadership Development Seminars cultivate the skills and attitudes that students need to become professional leaders. These workshops are offered every Friday afternoon from 1-4 pm.

OSLD's Purdue Calumet Cares Program is a community service program that cultivates leadership and helps students develop marketable skills while serving the needs of the greater northwest Indiana community. Agencies are matched with students based on students' major area of study. Hours worked for an agency are flexible.

Special events that the OSLD coordinates are the Student Organizational Fair held at the beginning of each semester, a Basketball Homecoming event in the spring semester and the Student Awards Banquet at the end of the spring semester, which honors and recognizes outstanding student leaders and their academic achievements.

OSLD works closely with numerous student organizations. Students are encouraged to expand their educational experience through the exploration of many diverse student organizations. Student organizations provide the opportunity to complement academic experience with student specific leadership education.
