Institutional Plan

Galgotias Institute of Management & Technology was founded by Smt. Shakuntala Educational & Welfare Society. The society was established with the aim of providing state-of -the-art education in the field of Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science and Management, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Mr. Sunil Galgotia, the MD, Galgotia Publications Pvt. Ltd., a highly motivated visionary and President of the Society, is the brain behind the venture. Armed with blessings from his mother, his sense of devotion and dedication, and the vision to develop a world class institution, he established the GIMT Institute of Management & Technology in the year 1999.

The college is affiliated to Mahamana Madan Mohan Malviya Uttar Pradesh Technical University, IET Campus, Sitapur Road, Lucknow, earlier it was known as U P Technical University. The college is making great strides on the strength of visionary leadership offered by the honorable vice-chancellor, Prof. D.S. Chauhan.

The Institute is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India and affiliated to U. P. Technical University, Lucknow. It offers MCA and MBA Programs. Our sister Institution Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology is also situated in the same campus.

The campus is situated in the Institutional Area, Phase II, Greater Noida about 30 kms. By road from Delhi. It is located on 18.83 acres of land on upcoming express highway, which will reduce the distance substantially.

The institute has an enormous and impressive building surrounded by a green landscape and lush environment. Being situated in the industrial and entrepreneurial area, the campus has the advantage of exposure to the world famous MNCs., e.g., LG Electronics, Honda Siel, Daewoo and Yamaha factories in its neighborhood. The NEPZ, which hosts a number of big software houses, is also close by.

GIMT Institute of Management & Technology has a very clear perspective of becoming an academically responsive institution to the requirements of the corporate world. It has set for itself the goals of flair for innovation and capacity for adapting to the changes in business scenario.The Institute is proud of its highly competent, committed, well-experienced and qualified core faculty. The students are encouraged to approach faculty members after class hours to get their doubts clarified and difficulties removed. The academic environment favours achieving excellence in studies and stress on overall development of the student's personality. The Institute has a well-established Training & Placement cell which function under the supervision of full-time Training and placement officer.
