Dr.S. Qamar, Prof. & Head of Electronics & Communication Engineering is on eminent scholar in the field of Electronics & Communication Engineering. He has done his M.Tech. from AMU, Aligarh and Ph.D. from IIT, Roorkee with highly honorable grade. He has teaching experience of more than a decade in various engineering colleges including a central university. He has research expertise in Signal Processing, Communication Network, Telecommunication Switching Network and Wireless Communication. He is providing consultancy to USA Company. He has published more than 20 research papers in reputed in International Journal and Conferences. He is a technical programme committee member in International mobility conference, Singapore. Apart from this, he is a life member ofISTE, MNF, New Delhi. He is also guiding several M.Tech. and Ph.D. thesis. He also serve as a resource person in M.Tech. programme of UPTU, Eucknow. He is also Editor-in-Chief of a reputed international Journal.
The department is active at M.Tech. and B.Tech. levels. The department offers two kinds of M.Tech. programmes in addition to B.Tech. (EC). The M.Tech. regular programmes is of 2 years duration and lays emphasis on the design and application of latest strategies of digital, fibre optic, broadband communication. The sequential M.Tech. programme prepares the student to gain command on the core and related areas of VLSI design. Some important topics covered are HDL based FPGA Design, CAD for IC Design, RF and Mixed Signal Design, Low Power VLSI Design etc.
In case of the undergraduate programme, the department strives to achieve a good mix of lecture, tutorial, assignments, and laboratory work. This contributes to providing sound conceptual knowledge and problem solving skills. Our students have profited by this mix and many of them have secured positions in prestigious institutions abroad
