The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engg, is headed by Prof. R.K. Chanana who has B.E. (Hons.) degree in EEE from BITS, Pilani, M.S. in EE with thesis option from USA and Ph.D. in EE from I.T. B.H.U. He has 20 yrs of research and teaching experience and 2 yrs industrial experience both in India and USA. His main areas of concentration are: Signal Processing with Application in Image Processing and Pattern Recognition, Analog Electronics, Microelectronics, Device Physics, Device Modeling, Analog and Digital VLSI Design and Plasma Processing. His software projects involved scientific and engineering programming in FORTRAN and Visual BASIC. He has 31 research publications in international and national journals and conferences and has guided M.Tech., Ph.D, and many project students. He has received prestigious Alpha Olympian Award for outstanding achievement in the industry research project at Alpha Industries Inc., MA, USA.
Electrical & Electronics Engineers create systems which sense, transmit & process information and generate & apply electrical power.
The department of EEE is offering four years Electrical & Electronics Engineering course which is broadly based, so that the graduate engineers deal with all aspects of the subjects from power electronics to micro electronics and from radar installation to digital systems.
