Department Of Physics | GCET
About
The Division of Physics has group working on Solar Radiations & Plasma Diagnostics and on Dye Sensititized Solar Cells. The Division presented two research papers in national conferences in the 2006-2007 and three research papers in 2007-08, five research papers in 2008-09 and 7 research papers published in International Journals in 2009-10 academic session. One research project has been awarded on Development of Nano Tio2 electrode and modified solid polymer electrolyte for Dye Sensititized Solar Cells (DSSC) to Department of Physics from DST, New Delhi in 2010.
In addition to teaching Physics to first year B.Tech. students the Division also participates in teaching advanced courses in the Engineering Departments. They also teach Electromagnetic Theory and Optical Instrumentation to students in E & C Engineering and E & I Engineering at advanced level. The Division is now working closely with Engineering Departments to formulate Masters programmes in Optical/Electronic Devices and Communication.
