Industrial Psychology (IP)

Industrial Psychology is concerned with the application or extension of psychological facts and principles to the problems concerning human beings operating within the context of business and industry. The learning in industrial psychology equips the student to develop interpersonal skills along with the understanding of attitude, emotion, motivation, personality, stress management and leadership skills. It also contributes in building the job-related skills i.e. understanding job analysis, employee selection, performance appraisal, industrial training, job satisfaction, leadership, and work conditions etc. that help the career of a student and gives a competitive edge. This in turn helps in analyzing the fast development challenges posed by globalization and industrialization.

Industrial Sociology (IS)

IS also known as sociology of work is an important and fascinating subject which deals in understanding fundamental issues like industrial structure, functions and complex relationships in industry. The study of IS familiarizes the students with the issues of industrial development in India, industrial policies, industrial disputes and its settlement. These learning help the students to understand structural part in industry as well as also enhance their skills to handle the growth and development of an industry in a competitive environment. It opens a window for the budding technocrats to understand the structure, functionalities & relationship in industry as well as also hone social skills which helps in contributing towards their own performance progressively for the overall productivity of the organization

Human Values & Professional Ethics (HV & PE)

Human Values & Professional Ethics, a compulsory audit course of UPTU is being taught in the college since 2009. The course has been introduced keeping in view the growing urgent need to integrate value education with professional skills in present scenario. A VEC has also been established in college which focuses on internalizing the importance of value education among students through personal counseling, classroom interaction, activities etc. Few activities related to the Cell have already been conducted in the college viz Talk on Mind & Body-Coordination for Better Concentration in Studies, Stress Management etc. Orientation Programme on Human Values & Professional Ethics organized by UPTU in May 2009 was attended by faculty member of the college.
