B.Tech Programs (B.Tech)

Approved by AICTE and affiliated to UP, Technical University Lucknow. GCET offers B. Tech. Courses of total duration of 4 years in following Engineering programmes.


B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) - (Seats - 120)

Computer Science and Engineering Programme imparts basic hardware and software Knowledge to the students. The program comprises courses on system software, software engineering, RDBMS, Computer Graphics, Image Processing Artificial intelligence etc. Besides Novel NetWare 5.0,Microsoft Windows 98/2000, C+ + , Networking environment with Linux, Windows NT, The student to requires to learn a wide range of application software such as Visual studio 6.0, AutoCAD, Oracle 8i, HTML, JAVA, E-Commerce etc.

 

 B. Tech in Information Technology (IT) - (Seats - 120)

Information Technology, the synthesis of Computers, information and communication, is a versatile technology that can be used in every aspect of Computers, Communication, Manufacturing and Systems.

In view of ever increasing size of world IT market, the trend of education has shifted towards IT based education. Present growth rate of India's contribution to IT is very high, with size of IT market being around US $7 billion against world IT market of US $1.5 trillion.

 

B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)- (Seats - 120)

Electronics & Communication play a significant role in modern day to day Technology. To prepare the the students for the advanced courses such as communication, digital & data communication, computer communication, Radar & even entertainment electronics. The laboratory courses besides theory portion.

 

B. Tech in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) - (Seats - 120)

Besides basic courses of electronics circuits, digital electronics & communication, this program imparts specialized courses of instrumentation useful in process industries & instrumentation, transducers & sensors, signal conditioning, process instrumentation & biomedical instrumentation etc.

 

B. Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) - (Seats - 60)

 

This department of EEE is offering four years Electrical & Electronics Engineering course which is broadly based, so that the graduate engineers deal with all aspects of the subjects from power electronics to micro electronics and from radar installation to digital systems.

 

B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (ME) - (Seats - 120)

Mechanical Engg. Department caters to the Design, Manufacturing & Energy related needs of the industry and society at large.

Emphasis is placed on quality training of graduates into broad backgrounds in engineering fundamentals so that they develop critical thinking and are capable of contributing to national needs and also to the advancement of science and technology. Department has highly qualified, creative and dynamic staff with well recognized credentials and is putting all efforts to further the standing of the department to make it one of the top mechanical engineering departments.

 

B. Tech in Civil Engineering (CE) - (Seats - 60)

Department of CE established in 2007 offers broad based undergraduate B.Tech. Degree programme which excels in various domains like Transportation Engineering, Geo-technical Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Structural Engineering and Environmental Engineering.

 

Master of Business Administration (MBA)- (Seats - 60)

The department offers dual specialization in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology. Students are required to choose any two of these as specializations. Students are offered these specializations depending on their interest and performance in the first year.

In the department, academic and co-curricular activities and events are organized in close contact with the corporate world, to develop overall managerial acumen. The Teaching-Learning process is organized around the case study method with emphasis on self-learning. Case studies, project reports, presentations, assignments, research work and role-plays are extensively used.

 

Master of Computer Application (MCA)- (Seats - 60)

The Teaching Learning Process at the MCA level uses the latest electronic teaching aids and is characterized by a tight coupling between lectures, tutorial and laboratory work. The former contributes to interactive classroom learning where the student is able to discuss with the teacher and peer students. The latter enables planned learning and optimization of student-teacher time to maximize learning.
