Prof. Chandra Shekhar Jha Born on the 1st of July, 1934
and educated at Patna University (B.Sc. Honours in Physics),
Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (D.I.I.Sc. -Electrical
Technology), Heriot-Watt College, Edinburgh, UK (F.H.-W.C),
and Bristol University, UK (Ph.D in ElectricalEngineering),
Dr. Jha after having served in UK for a couple of years joined
as Reader in University of Roorkee and a year later joined
the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi where he rose from
an Assistant Professorship in 1962 to an Associate Professorship
in 1963, a Professorship in1964 and a Senior Professorship
in1969. He remained on the professorial staff of IIT Delhi
till his retirement in June 1994. During his long academic
career, he occupied several senior academic and administrative
positions becoming Head of Department (1964-67), Dean of Engineering,
IIT Delhi (1966-69), Director of IIT Kharagpur (1974-78),
Educational Adviser (Technical) to the Government of India
(1979-84) and the Vice-chancellor of the Banaras Hindu University
(1991-93). On retirement from IIT, Delhi in 1994, Prof. Jha
was appointed Chairman of the Recruitment and Assessment Centre
of the Defence Research and Development Organisation on a
three-year contract (1994-97) and later became Honorary Chairman
of the Governing Council of the DOEACC Society under the Ministry
of Information Technology (1997-2001).
His international assignments include visiting Professorship
at the Imperial College, London (1968-69), at the Technische
Hochschule, Aachen (Germany) (1969) and at the Pennsylvania
State University, USA (1985-87). He gave short-term consultancy
to UNESCO in1986 and again in1988 in the preparation of the
Draft Convention on Vocational and Technical Education, and
for advising Lagos and Ondo State Universities in Nigeria
on the organisation of their Engineering Faculty (1986). He
has also been consultant to AIT, Bagkok, EdCIL, Asian Development
Bank, African Development Bank, World Bank, and Swiss Development
Co-operation on different issues of Science and Technology
Planning, institutional development and curricular reforms.
Prof. Jha has has contributed significantly to the planning
and management of Science and Technology Education. His assignments
were: National Committee on Science and Technology (NCST)
1975-76,Review Committee on TTTIs (1975-76), High Power Committee
to review Post-graduate education in Engineering (1978), Science
and Engineering Research Council of DST (1980-84), Chairman
AICTE Board of Post-graduate Education (1990-93), HighPower
Swaminadhan Committee to consider resource mobilisation in
Technical Education. (1993), High Power Punnaiya Committee
for financing Central Universities (1992-93), UNESCO Working
Group on Continuing Education of Engineers (! 973-88). Board
of Trustees AIT, Bangkok (1974-86), and International review
Team for Colombo Plan Staff College for Technician Education
(1983-84).

Prof. J. Nanda, B.E.E (Hons), Ph.D, FNA, FNAE, FTWAS, FIEEE
is an academician of National and International repute. His
areas of interest are Power System Analysis, Stability, Control,
Optimization and Computational Intelligence application to
power system studies. He has been a Professor in the Department
of Electrical Engineering at IIT Delhi since 1973 and has
served as Head (E.E. Department), Dean (UGS) and as a Member
of BOG at IIT Delhi. He has served as a member of BOG for
Roorkee University, Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology
(NSIT), Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR)
and Central Power Research Institute (CPRI). He has supervised
22 Ph.D students, 150 Master students and has more than 300
research publications many in international journals of repute.
Prof. Nanda has taught as a Reader at Imperial College of
Science and Technology, London and as a Professor at West
Virginia University, USA. He has visited several countries
such as USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea,
Australia, Newzealand, Hongkong, Singapore, Tripoli, Algeria,
Mauritius, Pappu New-guinea as a visiting Professor/Consultant/Advisor.
He has given several State-of-Art lecturers in many National
and International Conferences. He has been a Consultant to
ABB, Siemens, NTPC, BHEL and several Electricity Boards. He
has served as Chairman Programme Advisory Committee on Electrical,
Electronics and Computer Engineering for Department of Science
and Technology, as Vice President Indian National Science
Academy, Office Bearer of Indian National Academy of Engineering,
Chairman Technical Evaluation Committee for procuring 500
MW units for all super thermal power stations for NTPC, Advisor
CSIR, Advisor AICTE and Member 8 (1) Committee of Ministry
of Statistics and Programmer Implementation.

Prof. C.L. Bahl, Advisor, Galgotias Educational Institutions
has over 38 years of experience in corporate world. He did
his B.Sc. Engg. (Mechanical) in 1967 from Delhi College of
Engineering, Delhi University, with distinction and PDM from
IIM Calcutta in 1984. Apart from many important and challenging
assignments, he has served as General Manager in HMT Ajmer/Bangalore
and made outstanding contribution by improving productivity
and reducing rejection. His sincere efforts lead the HMT Banglaore
to new heights with increased turnover by 2 times and profits
by 3 times during the last quarter of 95-96. In year 1997-98
he managed to establish single window service at HMT CRB for
all units of HMT and achieved 100% goal. He served M/S Batliboi
Limited as Vice President/CEO and business Head where he gave
new dimensions to the organization by establishing Batliboi
Reconditioning and refurbishing centre and developed new products
like CNC milling, CNC machining Centre, CNC turning Centre,
CNC twin-spindle machining centre. His love for teaching-learning
procedures made him to take up as Programme Director of CITM,
Faridabad in 2002 and played an active role in Industry Institute
Interaction, AICTE NBA accreditation, upgradation to PG courses,
PDP sessions for faculty and students and started training
diary/seminars/presentations. He also introduced Faculty &
Staff appraisal System and service rules. He conducted seminars
on Product Management, Standard Manpower, Concept of Ownership
and many more. In March 2000 he presented the paper on Motivation
for Quality & Productivity at International Form of Adventist
College of Management and got 1st Level appreciation. February
