Career Planning Division

 Career Planning & Development Division, CPDD, is headed by Ms.Manisha Chaudhry as an assistant Director, with 8 years of experience in training & Placement. She did her LL.M. in criminology. She is associated with many social and cultural organizations.

CPDD looks after Corporate Relations, Training, Development and Placement of Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology & Galgotias Institute of Management & Technology. CPDD not only lays stress on the corporate training of the students once they join the institution, but also guides them to be self-confident and better human beings. In order to explore students ‘abilities to the fullest, events like group discussion, lectures by the specialists in public speaking, confidence building, stress and time management and attitudinal development are organized which subsequently mould them as per competitive market requirement and make the students feel confident. The division enhances development of both leadership qualities as well as managerial skills. Besides all such activities, the curriculum lays emphasis on case studies and practical training over the full academic calendar without affecting the normal schedule of teaching. The teaching-learning procedure maintains highest standards and teaching is imparted with latest tools available incorporating all elements that enable our students to become well suited for the job market.

 Career Planning & Development Division has been working on training modules which give corporate training to its B.Tech, MBA and MCA students in soft skills and recent technological developments necessary for corporate world. The training modules start from third semester onwards and are carried on throughout the entire academic program. This has resulted in our students to be recruited by recruited by the top corporate firms.

Industry Institute Interaction
For greater all-round technical and management proficiency, it is both necessary and desirable to supplement the knowledge base through programs to reinforce communication and various other special skills to the students. The team from TCS visited the campus on November 29th, 2007,to have on- spot review of infrastructure, quality teaching learningprocess and other related parameters required to be a premier Technical Institution. And after rigorous evaluation by its expert team, accredited our Institute and in the process recruited 76 of our 2009 batch students.

NihangoBashi (P) Ltd. Singapore/Bangalore:
MOU with Nihongo Bashi for Japanisation Program. During this program students are not only trained for Japanese language butalso made aware of Japanese culture to make them comfortable forJapanese assignments. 65 students are already working on variousprojects in Japan, who have been recruited by HCL, Yahama etc.

MOU with National Entrepreneurship Network, NEN:
This envisages the workshops by leading entrepreneurs and thefaculty from IIM, Bangalore, IIT, Bombay and Stanford University,orientation and initiation to students to take up challenges.

MOU with Pixtel Media Technology (P) Ltd.:
It includes mentorship program 40 students have been selectedand divided into 5 groups for their mentorship program accordingto the industrial parameters. Each group has been allocated a liveproject.

A team of Professional from Corporate has formed a platform tosupport “National Academy for Development of Management & Techno Youths”. Galgotias College of Engineering & Technology is amongst the 150 short-listed institutions all over India and 26 in Northern India by Infosys Technologies Ltd. to celebrate Aspirations 2020 which is aplatform for students to prepare themselves to become Global Professionals. These contests under Aspirations 2020 will encourage the spirit of competitivenessand accelerate learning through extra-curricular activities, withinthe student community. This is an extremely important event whichwill help students towards becoming global professionals.Aspirations 2020 contests will include the following Internet technology assisted events:

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) and Industry InstitutionPartnership Cell (IIPC) are established at Galgotias College ofEngineering and Technology (GCET) is being funded by AICTE.The Advisory Committees, as mandated by AICTE, have been setup to advice and monitor the activities of the programs.
